Roles and screens

Who sees what, and what nobody sees

The same order looks different depending on who is looking at it. This page says what each role gets, and what is deliberately out of reach.

Role 01

Your shop's staff

Working orders, mostly from a phone, inside the shop.

What needs a person, first

The order screen is not a table of statistics. It is a list of what needs a human right now, so nobody has to check everything to find the one thing that is stuck.

A picking list

The items for an order, grouped so they can be walked in one pass rather than criss-crossing the shop.

One tap for "we do not have it"

The exception that happens every day. It records the line, recalculates the total, and moves the order to waiting for the customer.

What staff do not see

Cost prices, margins, takings and the customer list as a whole. A picker needs the order in front of them, not the business behind it.

Role 02

The owner

Sees the shop, and keeps it running.

Everything the staff see, and the business too

Orders, money taken, what customers asked for and could not get, and the hours when the shop is busiest.

Who has access

You decide which of your people can sign in and what each of them can do. Taking access away is immediate.

Your data stays yours

Your customers, prices and sales are visible to your shop and to nobody else's. No other shop on the platform can see any of it.

Role 03

Us

We keep the platform running. That is all.

There is no master key

There is deliberately no role at Kalathi that can read every shop's orders. Not for support, not for convenience. A single account that could read everything is one compromised password away from being everybody's problem.

Access only with permission, and only for a while

If we need to look at a broken order, that access is granted, recorded with a reason, expires by itself, and is visible to you while it is live.

What we watch instead

Whether the system is up, whether orders are getting through, and whether anything is failing. Not what your customers bought.

Next step

Want to see the screens?

We can show you the actual screens, with example orders, and talk through anything that does not fit how your shop works.

  1. You write to us Who does what in your shop today.
  2. We show you the screens With example orders, not slides.
  3. Compatibility check No cost, no commitment, before anything else.
